Built in 1910, our historic palatial Grand Hotel celebrates its Centenary in 2010, representing one of the oldest luxury Hotels on Lake Como. L’Escale

At the first floor of the main Palace, chiselled into the rock, discover “L’Escale”, the casual “Fondues & Wine Bar” of the Grand Hotel. For an informal evening with a difference. Dinners based on fondues, BBQ (meet or fish with vegetables) and Italian wines have been completely restyled for the Centenial celebration. Ideal for an Italian wine tasting session, a wine & dine experience or an after dinner drink in its cozy, candle-light very romantic atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor tables are available, thanks to the lake view Veranda.

 

 

The fondues or barbecues experience is a real fun: “I Taglieri” as typical starters of the Italian tradition followed by a choice among four different fondues with eight different sauces and five salts, including the new fish fondue, the cheese raclette or two different mini-barbecues where you are the Chef! Try to believe! The dessert specialty: the chocolate & strawberry fondue for two, so romantic…The most appropriate and consistent Italian wine will be paired.

T Beach

The Bar of the floating swimming pool dominates the Lake and offers a smashing view on Bellagio and Punta Balbianello. It is ideal for those people who don’t want to renounce to the sun and to relax surrounded by a unique landscape because it is situated on the floating pontoon next to the Solarium of fine sand.

The Candles

The Candles Bar is the main meeting point, in the heart of the Hotel. Besides the elegant and comfortable lounge, it offers a wide terrace lit up by candlelight, with view on the Lake, where it is possible to sip a drink in the shade of the sun blinds during sunny days or caressed by the evening breeze with the background of the piano notes.

The gardens

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo has a magnificent centuries-old private park of 20,000 sqm, behind the Palace, going up to the hill to a stunning breath-taking sight-seeing point where Bobo, the mascot of the hotel, will welcome you.

 

 

This park is directly adjacent to the botanical Gardens of Villa Carlotta, famous in the world.

In the middle of the park there are the swimming Pool of the Flowers, the tennis court, the healthy walk for jog-lovers, and precious corners  including the  brand-new Champagne Corner, where you can admire some art works by contemporary artists.

Golf

Golf lovers can play their favourite sport on the excellent golf course “Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club”, a 18 holes club only 5 km away from Tremezzo.

The course was planned during the first years of the last century by an English gentleman, professional golfer, who brought with him the traditional English aptitude and experience.

You can’t miss the Circolo Golf Villa D’Este”, the “Lanzo Golf Club” and the “Golf Club Monticello” situated in the Como district.
